Heat Exchangers
Our experience in handling (Air To Gas) heat Exchangers in India with capacities ranging from 0.2 Mm3/hr to 0.6Mm3/hr for different applications viz. Furnace gas cooling system and Cooler gases cooling system. In case of furnace gases, the temperature was successfully reduced from as high as 450o C to less than 120o C, whereas in case of Cement Cooler gases, the temperature content was reduced from approx. 400o C to less than 120o C.
Besides just the heat exchanger, the complete system was also provided for Gas Conditioning system, and most importantly pollution control system (Cyclone/Process Bag House) for handling dust / fines emissions to restrict to < 10 mg/Nm3.
Our working principle:
A heat exchanger is equipment used for transferring heat from one medium to another, In a heat exchanger, heat gets transferred from a hot fluid (Medium-2) to a cold fluid (Medium-1).
The design of air-to-air heat exchanger involves many geometric and operating variables. These geometric and operating variables are a part of the search for an exchanger geometry that meets the heat duty requirement and a given set of design constraints. The conventional optimization techniques become very cumbersome and laborious for optimizing the design parameter of the heat exchanger
The Flue gas from the source is ventilated to the heat exchanger where it passes evenly through vertical parallel tubes. Cooling air is blown horizontally over the outer surface of the tubes by axial flow fans. The fans power consumption will be controlled based on the hot gas temperature and the cooling air regulation principle.
The Gas-to-Gas heat exchanger operates from 500°C to 120°C (or any range in between) with flexibility in the desired size for any flue gas quantity.
We design optimised heat exchanger, with its segmental construction, is cost effective and reliable and user friendly.

Learn MoreOur Heat Exchangers are suited for many applications such as Clinker cooler, Kiln De-dusting or for integrated systems that needs more than one process. The heat exchanger decreases the temperature of the gas resulting in a reduced flow to be handled as well as also if needed the heat produced by one reaction is transferred through a long path to initiate or stimulate another process.
We at Clair, have an in-house design and manufacturing team that allows us to cater in specific to the process industries for specific type of the process. Some of the USP’s are:
Our focus has always been on serving process industries with a wide range of solutions and products, and Heat Exchanger is one such product. We have extended the scope to a turnkey solution including electrical and civil works. Else, we have also limited to the engineering design using local fabrication and supply of critical components. Each installation is carefully evaluated and the solution is always custom-made to tackle real-time challenges. Please contact us for more details on our references.
