Introduction:
Another Clair installation for Pulse Jet Bag Filter based on Optiwave Pulse Cleaning Technology (OWPC)was for a leading cement manufacturer in Southern India (Andhra Pradesh), in the year 2018. The bag filter was provided for a cement mill VRM application. The cement mill VRM was a result of their up-gradation plans to increase their annual production capacity from 1.8 MTPA to 3.5 MTPA. The bag filter has been provided based on Optiwave Technology with 8 m long filter bags.
Since the commissioning of the bag filter, the system has been running successfully achieving the desired emission levels, lower pressure drop and compressed air consumption. The operating parameters of the bag filter have been provided in the Table 1.
Data/ Table:
Table 1: (Technical specifications of OWPC based long bag filter installed at AP, India.)
Parameter | Unit | Design | Operating |
Gas volume | Am3/h | 6,50,000 | 6,48,000 |
Inlet gas temperature | o C | 120 | 80-85 |
Inlet dust load | g/Nm3 | 500 | 490 |
Outlet dust load | Mg/Nm3 | ≤25 | 20 |
Pressure drop across the bag filter | mmWC | ≤130 | 110 |
Compressed air consumption | Nm3/h | 510 | 357 |
Air pressure in the header | bar | 2.5-3.5 | 3.0 |
Observations:
At the same plant, we have provided another bag filter based on Optiwave Technology for Raw mill/Kiln application with 10m long bags. The bag filter was commissioned in 2019 and has been running successfully meeting the stringent emission norms.
